Founded in 2023, nusantara|RE was built around a simple conviction: that healthcare real estate in Southeast Asia was underserved by generalist agencies. We set out to change that.
What began as a focused healthcare practice has grown into a multi-sector advisory spanning institutional investments, luxury residential, Japan-sourced capital, and strategic land opportunities, while keeping the rigour of a specialist firm.

Muzaffar Bahir
Managing Director & Head, Healthcare
Muzaffar brings 22 years of professional experience in the real estate industry, with the majority of his career spent in agency practice across valuation, research and property management. His broad exposure across different business units and asset classes has helped him develop valuable market intelligence while building close relationships with Corporate Malaysia.
Prior to founding Nusantara Real Estate in 2023, Muzaffar served as Head of Investments at one of Malaysia's largest real estate consultancy firm, overseeing the roll-out of high-value mandates.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Management & Development from Liverpool John Moores University, a Registered Estate Agent with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers, Malaysia and Member of Royal Institute of Surveyors Malaysia.
Lewina Tan
Head, Luxe Living
Lewina brings over 14 years of distinguished experience in real estate with particular expertise in the luxury residential sector.
She began her career in Event Management & Marketing across Singapore and Malaysia, cultivating relationships with high net worth individuals, corporate executives and entertainment industry luminaries.
Before joining Nusantara Real Estate in 2024, she was Head of Residential at one of Malaysia's leading real estate consultancy firms. Lewina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
Akmar Nasiruddin
Real Estate Negotiator
Akmar is a seasoned executive professional with over 15 years of experience in high-level corporate administration and stakeholder engagement. Her trilingual proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin enables effective cross-cultural communication across the firm's diverse clientele.
Prior to joining Nusantara Real Estate, she served as secretary to the Group Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Corporation, one of Malaysia's largest conglomerates.
Akmar graduated from HELP University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication.
Tabizi Tahir
Real Estate Negotiator
Tabizi has over a decade of architectural experience in Malaysia and Australia, working on key projects including IKEA locations in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Bangkok, The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur, and an aged care facility in New South Wales.
He later embraced his entrepreneurial spirit by co-founding a fashion brand, launching a British bakery in Pavillion Kuala Lumpur and managing a reconditioned car business. His strong background in design, project delivery and commercial acumen has paved the way for his transition into real estate.
Tabizi holds a BSc in Architecture from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Master of Architecture from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
James Goh
Director, Investments
James has 25 years of professional experience in real estate, focused primarily on high-value capital market deals. He began his career at Rahim & Co in 1999, serving as point of contact and project lead for mandates involving multinationals and foreign governments.
He later joined JLL Malaysia as Director of Logistics & Industrial, leading several substantial transactions in the fast-growing logistics sector.
James holds a B. Commerce (Hons) in Housing & Real Estate Management from the University of Guelph, Canada.
Afiza Abdul Halin
Real Estate Negotiator
Afiza brings 18 years of professional experience in multinational corporations, with deep expertise in IT service management, process excellence and stakeholder management.
Throughout her career she has developed profound knowledge in strategic planning and project management, with her last position as IT Change & Release Management Product Owner at Shell Business Operations, where she led the deployment of processes and tools to worldwide users and suppliers.
Afiza graduated magna cum laude in BSc Information Technology in Management Information Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York.
Nobuko Sasaki
Japan Client Relations
Nobuko brings strong client-facing expertise developed through her career in hospitality, having served as Japanese Guest Representative at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur before becoming Sales Manager at a Japanese office renovation firm. She managed key accounts including Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Sony Malaysia, driving strategic growth in the Malaysian market.
Nobuko holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Tourism Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
